Not much to report here, sorry to say. Last week was a nightmare of unending stress and right now I'm just hoping that the stress does not carry over (and given that my phone has just decided to go all wonky, I am not currently optimistic about that ( Read more... )

I hope you kick the ass of that stress.

ME TOO. I am hoping that once I get phone fixed things will be better. The coworker who was out all last week should be well enough to come in on Monday, which will greatly reduce my stress levels.

Droid Incredible? I think it's the first one, not the Incredible 2, but I am not sure. I've had it just over a year and this is the second time it's had issues like this. The poor dear is now stuck in a reboot loop, so I'm going to have to stash it somewhere other than my bedside for the night.

YES. I am definitely hoping that this week is more chill. I think it will be because one of my coworkers should be back at work tomorrow (he had to take off suddenly and for the whole week because of an illness), but we'll see.

Me too. I was over at a friend's most of that day and just about lost it when I saw the announcement on the news. Such an icon, gone.

Me too! Now we're discussing swapping over to iPhones, though for the time being it appears to be working again. Time to start backing up my data!

He's back! Poor guy had a wicked infection but he definitely seems better now. I didn't mind covering (because contagious illnesses are a good reason to stay home) but there was a lot going on even without having to take on some of his work as well.

He has - I think Simon Pegg said he's taken the next small step, and I think that was a good way of putting it.

Thanks! Seems like all's quiet so far, but we'll see if it stays that way. :D

Give that stress a roundhouse kick to the face!

I sometimes have the same problem when my Droid turns on. I just pop out the battery if it stays frozen.

WILL DO. :D

I would, by my Droid doesn't have allow access to the battery. :| Terrible design flaw. I had to let it run out on its own instead. I'm going to try recharging it on the way home, though, to see if that helped. Either way I'll be stopping at Verizon.

I'd be more outraged if I didn't otherwise like the phone though (and if I didn't also find the issue somewhat amusing. I mean, it's like my phone wants to mutiny! And it's little and angry and the worst it can do is vibrate off my desk and shout DROID!).

I'm with you - I think I'd be sad even if space wasn't high on my "fan-of" list, because really, the dude walked on the moon. Few of the celebrities who've been passing have done quite as much. (I actually almost threw a fit today because my local radio station cut from discussing his death to announcing that Snooki had had her baby. And then talked about how that kinda made up for the death? NO, NO, NO. NOT EVEN REMOTELY THE SAME KIND OF CELEBRITY GAAAHHH.)

THE LANCE ARMSTRONG MISTAKE MAKES ME SO SAD. JUST. NO, WORLD, NO. I get that they're both in the news right now but TWO VERY DIFFERENT PEOPLE. /rolls

ME TOO. Last night wasn't so bad because I started to expect it, but the first dozen times or so had me leaping sideways every time it rebooted. DROID.

I WAS SO ANGRY. Unless that poor kid grows up to be an astronaut (and lands on either the moon or, say, Mars) they're not even in the same ballpark of awesome. Uuurrrgh. Of course I have other issues with our society rating celebrities over everything else.

I don't either! The last name is the same, sure, but Neil and Lance are different names? And bicycling isn't all that similar to being an astronaut?

Hahahahhahhaah in light of all the issues I'm having I'm thinking of getting an iPhone. I'm hesitant only because I've grown fond of the Android User Interface and because I don't know how to customize ringtones on the iPhone. (My Android has a theme, and I am very fond of it. And petty enough that keeping that theme may well be a contributing factor in whether I get an iPhone or a better, newer Droid.)
