I KNOW. I made tiny sqeaking noises and actually reached for the book. Then I sent text messages to half the people I know squeeing over it. And my mother placed an order for it on Amazon (since they're already doing pre-sales of the DVD. THE MOVIE ISN'T EVEN OUT OF THEATERS YET). I AM EXCITE.
Saaaaame. I had a terrible day at work yesterday, hopped on HYT for, like, thirty seconds, and immediately felt heaps and heaps better.
Nnnnnnn I saw beanies at the Disney Store online, but one of them was more blue and the other was red. I flailed at the screen. ;_; I JUST WANT A PASCAL. MAXIMUS EXISTS. FLYNN EXISTS. WHY NOT PASCAL?!
Ahahahahahahah we're getting the four disc version. BUT THEN if there's any one thing in the world I obsess over it's special features, especially special features in films I admire for one reason or another. And especially if the special features include bits on how the film was made, and not just deleted scenes or director's commentaries.
Details like that ruin me for other animation, specifically refering to animated series of various flavors. I realize they don't have the budget or the time the way a Disney movie production does, but it's still so noticeable when things are flat. There's just something about such an immersive experience, you can drink it in, absorb it.
I did indeed! Not the whole thing, but when my alarm finally rousted me, it was about half-way to the total eclipse. Soon after total dark, I admitted defeat and fled inside. It was amazing. The night was so still and clear, there wasn't even any wind. Unfortunately I kept ruining perfect moments by yawning. XD;
(Unless that question was in regards to me seeing Tangled, in which case, I have not yet. Sudden Holiday complications. but as soon as freaking possible, oh yes.)
Last time I saw 3D was the Dinosaurs in 3D videogame (a very very old computer game) so I may be out of the loop, but-3D just doesn't seem like a great idea to me. I don't like sunglasses even when they would come in handy, but it wrecks the colours, and 3D seems like it would be very colour-wrecking. It may not be a coincidence that one of the few movies where people seem to like the 3D (Avatar) is very bright (and so is Tangled obviously).
I KNOW. I ordered a copy. I am so excited to have it!
I did! Not for long because it was late and I had work, but I did! It was gorgeous.
To be fair, 3D has come a long way since then. They no longer have to have colored lenses in the glasses to make it work, so the colors of the film itself aren't compromised the way they used to be. And most 3D films have moved past the gimmick of "AHHH LOOKS LIKE THE T-REX IS GONNA EAT ME AHHHH" and more for an enhanced depth of field/perspective, which takes the movies from an image projected on a flat screen to a more realistic-feeling space.
It's still not perfect technology, though, so there are times, IMO, when the depth feels too forced, or, in some cases, there's just not enough foreground/middleground/background in the shot to make it feel like there's depth even without the 3D.

Yeah, i'm so very much pre ordering the dvd/blu-ray set. The 4 disc set seems a bit insane, but I am considering it...
HYT makes everything better, true story.

They do have some pretty fantastic time lapse photography videos showing it, if that'll help?

(One of the better videos I saw was taken and compiled by a veterinary technician. Proof that anyone can like astronomy!)
