I have just a few things to say.
First:
The Art of Tangled
1a: I KNEW IT. I KNEW THERE WAS GONNA BE AN ART BOOK
1b: WHY DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT IT BEFORE THIS POINT I MUST HAVE IT /screaming reachy hands
Second:
HELL YEAH TANGLED
(For those of you who haven't meandered over there yet.)
Third:
Saw Tangled in 3D with one of my best friends in the whole wide world, onijutsu this weekend. Made me realize that, while I'm not against 3D as a whole, I think the technology still has a long ways to go. There were definitely times where I thought the depth of field it was going for was too deep, so it became a little uncanny. Other times, though? Perfect. A++
Fourth:
Round 1 of the puppies WILL BE UP THIS WEEK or you have permission to spam me with demands until it happens. I've run into a minor art block (all I want to draw is people. People in fluffy cutesy scenes. WITH LANTERNS. I do so ever wonder why...) and it's been an interesting experience going after each character and figuring out how to render them as a dog and still have it feel true. (Especially since I refuse to include more than collars on them.)
Also, if you haven't heard about the Lunar Eclipse, in North America tonight from anywhere between 11PM to 5AM (depending on your time zone) there will be a total lunar eclipse. Yes, on the solstice.
This is a once-in-400 years opportunity.
I am so setting my alarm. THE SKIES HAD BETTER BE CLEAR, YOU HEAR ME?
