[This was proving to be a very irritating place. Hibari stares at the small communication device, obviously not very happy (though how much of that was due to his altered appearance, and how much of it was due to his general distaste of this world was unknown).]

[Certainly, hope may help herbivores get through difficult times, but he didn't believe in it. Had never felt it. Would never feel it. He believed in himself, and only himself. Relying on others and giving oneself a false sense of security was weak. He was not weak.]

[In that respect, he couldn't agree with him. He likes to view hope as something positive he can look forward to, something he can strive for. It doesn't necessarily have to center on someone. Actually, it is more like a means for motivation. He realizes how Hibari's mind works (even if he doesn't know the exact reason behind it), and he can't blame him. They aren't too dissimilar, in regards to the fact that they both rely on themselves. It just happens that 'dera has an underlying faith in his Boss, and his friends.

His emotional state is in a bit of a fix now though since he doesn't know what to think of the new information. If he has to choose who's more important, he'll definitely pick the Boss. No sweat. At the same time, he knows the Tenth wouldn't want him to harm a bunch of people just for his own selfishness (or for him). It'd disappoint him, and he couldn't have that.] There has to be some kind of loophole.
