That is, sadly, a common thing... it's happened to me and most of my friends. At least your teacher is messing with the points.

I somehow got a LOWER grade than the other 4 in the group. -_-;; My teacher wouldn't do anything about it because it was from the "peer review" section. The leech who did nothing gave straight 10/10 for everything, the chick who worked with me gave me 10/10 for each section, and I certainly didn't give myself 0/10! That left the remaining two chicks. One was supposed to be a friend (except she got mad at me because I wouldn't give her homework answers at 10pm the night before our morning class). Drama. I still managed to be 2nd in class though. XD

yeah it's happened to me before, just never THAT badly, usually people do SOMETHING (even if it's a clearly half assed "i did it 10 minutes before class" job) I think what really pissed me off when we were working on the project before hand, was that the guy had assigned what slides we each were going to do, and picked all the easy ones for himself -_-;
And on the way to class he was like "Well...time to face the music, I hope it goes well"
...FUCKER his attitude made me want to slap him <.<'
/rant

oh wow...that...sucks major ass D; i guess at least you still did well in the class regardless =D
yeah, i know a lot of teachers that'd just say "deal with it!" ...but i was talking to my supervisor at work and she'd had him before and told me to tell him because he'd actually do something so... ^^;

Yeah, that guy is full of fail.

My teacher wanted to do something, but since it was the "peer review" she said she couldn't unless they, like, gave me 0s.

EEK about the chemicals! My father used to work in a coal processing plant and came home with all manner of stuff on him. I feel your itchy, burny discomfort. -.-#

I'm glad your instructor gave you more points. He's generally right about letting poor students sink on their own, but doing that relies upon the instructor being observant and ready to do a little more hard work in grading than he or she might like. Grr.

Wardinsky rocks, plain and simple. ^_^V

yipes!
yeah...she has this stuff we call the "killer pink stuff" because it burns through anything. Once I woke up in the morning and went to the bathroom (in the dark) And my foot squished in something slimy. It was our bathroom rug ...which got liquified because the bottle had tipped over and leaked D;

Yeah, I'm really glad ^^
He was like "I wish you had just done the whole thing on your own, and then they'd have to explain why they didn't have their project, not you coming in and having to explain why you HAVE one. It's something of a Prisoners dilemma about not wanting to screw over your fellow students but, in the end, they're really just screwing themselves" so...yeah Wardinski is totally made of awesome =DD. Haha, he said he could tell I was really uncomfortable having to come in and talk to him about it.

yeah everytime I go to classes and see GROUP PROJECT on the syllabus I start freaking out (even though usually it's at the end of the semester). Mostly because I don't usually know people in class, and I don't really talk much to my classmates unless we're doing peerwork-type stuffand even then, I don't tend to talk to people again after that (...I'm amazed I've made any new friends in college since there aren't many opportunities to talk during class XD. Though now that I think about it, ALL of them have been from my language classes where we have to talk to each other alot XD ( ... )

what a DICKHEAD! >.<''''

now that i think about it, the "friend" who goes to culinary school was kinda like that. he would ALWAYS choose the topic for us and be all fired up about the project. but as the deadline drew nearer, he would start slacking, saying things like "oh we'll just wing it" and crap like that. the rest of us would have to carry his weight and he would sometimes screw up in the middle of our presentation because he would "wing it." <.<''' but since he was a friend, we were more lenient and tolerant with him.

too bad you didn't have a reserve of points. you could've done what i did with the second project for sigman's logic class. XD passive aggressive man!

well...our group didn't even talk about what we were going to do till last thursday XD (so...we all suck about procrastinating >.>' )

i have some reserve of points...but not 60 of them -_-;
what did you do for sigman's class? O_o?

lol! the group projs i have dealt with in college all have had deadlines for deciding a topic (usually, on the day it is assigned) or submitting a progress report. the sad thing about that is, because we usually are given sufficient time to work on them both inside and out of the classroom, there really is no way to wiggle out of the topic after it's been chosen ( ... )

yeah...we were supposed to turn in a paper saying what we were going to do on like the 8th...but we never did >.>''

ah XDDDD
yeah, it definitely helped that sigman knew your work habits and stuff already XD.
oh... >.>' people suck like that D;
but i can totally see him saying to leave them to their own devices XDDD
