a lesson learnt

On Saturday, we all went to a traditional Japanese dinner, where you have to take off your shoes and put them in little cubby-holes and walk around in bare feet the rest of the time. It was so fun. We all sat in our little room with the long table in the middle, and did karaoke and had a five course meal and unlimited beer. I had 3 500ml glasses ( Read more... )

I completely understand the feeling of wanting to leave a party at that point- I have the urge to do that all the time. The impulse to walk home is very me too- I've often considered walking stupidly long distances to get home e.g. from Cheltenham back to Tewks- about 8 miles. I wouldn't feel so bad about going the wrong way- we all do it, at least you had somewhere to stay. Take care x

As a teenager, I often walked several miles home on a Saturday night, and thought nothing of it (probably because I was drunk at the time). Now I feel faint at the very thought of it.
