Sascha Artemev and John Horton are competing for the gymnastics all-around. Really hoping John comes home with a medal, even if Sascha doesn't. I think part of the problem is the new way they're scoring everything. To get a higher score you have to have a higher start value, which means you have to have lots of difficult elements in your routine. If you're doing stuff that's difficult for you, you're bound to make mistakes. Still, though, I don't recall ever seeing this many people make this many mistakes.

Yeah, that's a lot of condoms. 70,000 in Sydney was too few, 130,000 in Athens was too many, 100,000 is (hopefully) just right. It's about 10 per person anyway, but the Olympics last for 16 days...although there's plenty of younger athletes who probably won't need their share.
