The emotions in the Elena/Stefan scene were very palpable. I'm glad that Elena is going to take some time to sort out her feelings. I missed Caroline in this chapter, though not her extra appendage (aka Tyler). Any chance that Tyler is not going to make it out of your fic alive? That would be awesome! :P

And I love that she doesn't want to just jump into relationship with Damon, she needs to make herself stable first to be able to commit to anything well enough. I always want Damon and Bonnie to end up buddies at the end but you do capture their antagonistic but not enemy-like relationship.

Thank you. Yeah, I had to have Elena call him on the stuffs. And I do think it's important Elena have some me-time. :)

I'm trying to be true to where Damon and Bonnie seem to be now, and it won't change all that much in this story, but she doesn't hate him! :D

Wow, that was just gut wrenching, but oh so honest.

It will be good for Elena to find time to find out who she is and wants to be.

...and yay for Damon being strong enough to give her the space he needs, even though he would love to just devour her.

However, I do wonder how her vampire blood diet is going to work out for her. Is it going to be Damon sustaining her every day for the rest of her life???

Woohoo... the Stefan/Elena conversation is close to what I would've wanted from the show, a good honest conversation about everything that's wrong about them together!

I'm not sure I care about Matt/Rebekah sadly, I often find myself skipping the parts about ships I don't really care about, sorry. I really enjoy the way you write the triangle though. I have to commend you for keeping writing this fic, the show has been going into a whole other direction and it must be hard to keep the inspiration when canon has gone another way. I know I find it hard myself which is why I haven't been able to publish anything lately. ;)

Yeah, I figured since I was writing the break-up, I'd get it all there, LOL!

It's OK that you skip parts, I've done that with other fics I've read. I thought of doing this without the other parts, but it's all building and entwining for me, so....

It's actually easier writing it now because I'm not getting mixed up with what I have in my story and what's happening on the show because before the cure really hit and Jere-as-hunter/the sirebond there were way too many similarities with my fic, LOL!
