Bones & (A Little Bit of) Justice

Well, my sister sat down and watched my 2nd favorite new show (Bones) from last season's premiere with me (the first being my beloved, cancelled too-soon Killer Instinct). We also watched a bit of the new Victor Garber show, Justice. My thoughts and hers below the cut.

( Lalalala, David Boreanaz is so pretty as Booth. I wonder why Angel did nothing for me. )

I am so glad your sister liked "Bones"! I'm so glad it's back on I've missed it so! I didn't like Camille. I don't hate her, I just ...I don't know. I think I need some time to warm up to her.

I totally agree with you on "Justice". It was too flashy! The show was good. I LOVE Victor of course and he didn't disappoint, and I actually really liked Kerr Smith in it as well. I think they just need to tone it down a little, all that jazz took away from the storyline.

Yeah, I liked what I saw of Kerr Smith. Sad to know that the rest of the episode is still overshadowed by the over-the-top jazz. I'll still try and watch the whole thing if I can though, and of course, I have to watch next week as I read that Amanda Seyfried is on it. Woohoo!!!

I *totally* agree about 'Justice'. It was *too* much, zipping this way and that - trying too hard, but how lovely to see SpyDaddy (as someone else said) again?

And we watched 'Bones' - David is as yummy and wonderful as ever :) I haven't warmed up to the rest of the cast, but he keeps me coming back.

Again, sad that it keeps it up. Maybe it will tone down in future eps?

You know, DB NEVER did anything for me on BtVS or Angel, but on Bones? He's salty goodness ALL THE WAY!!! I do love ED also, though.

Hmmm - I loved Bones last year. And I thought there were several good moments last night but I don't think I like the new boss very much. First I miss Goodman and I don't think his character would have just ducked out without letting Bones know. Secondly, the new boss just seems all kinds of cliche to me. I don't like the actress very much and every scene she was in I just felt like - hurry up and get this over with. Plus her extra scenes really took away from making the victims real to me- they seemed very cardboard last night ( ... )

Sadly, I wasn't as impressed with Bones as I hoped to be, but thinking on last year, the first episode wasn't impressive either and I don't really know many eps (other than a few) that were all that impressive on their own. It was the build-up, the weekly familiarity of the characters that made me love the show. I'm hoping that in a week or two, that growing love will be there again.

I like the Man of Spam type of experiments and if she's going to mess with that - she has to go!

Justice - honestly I only saw bits and pieces but I liked what I saw. I'll always love VG because he kicks all kinds of acting ass but I also liked Kerr Smith last night too (now what was TVguide talking about?) Didn't catch it all as I said but I caught enough to want to watch it again.

I need to watch the whole thing, and uhm, yeah Amanda Seyfried is on next week, so woohoo, it becomes appointment TV!
