So I just got a Facebook message from a friend, a close friend, whose parents on one side just found out she is gay. Now, they're talking of disowning her, kicking her out of the house and taking her off the family insurance policy. I'm one of very few people who know, and she's begging me to help her figure out a way to live independently. I

Best wishes to your friend, that's harsh. Are they old enough to be on their own, and work full time as necessary?
Blood runs thicker than water...could this phrase really be any more incorrect?

I have very little space, but enough to put someone up for maybe a week or so...in Pittsburgh. XD
