Laura loosened her top buttons. She’d pinned her long tresses up on her head leaving a few stray strands wildly poking out here and there.

I am a fan of this look, oh yes, yes, I am. :D :P

I do love that we are really getting a sense of their ease with one another as the story progresses. It's a lovely slow burn and it's thoroughly enjoyable to read. :D
