this man did not divide the nation. this nation has been divided for decades...it's been the northeast and california vs the rest of the country. i hate the fact that the n.e. and ca feel like they're more intelligent than the rest of the country, and have an understanding of things better than the rest. it just is not the case.
this man didn't divide us, but he did help illustrate that the division is there. i don't know if its a cultural difference, ideological difference, or policy difference (probably a number of many differences), but it is a difference that has been there and will be there as long as the states, and the ppl living in those states, are viewed as equals with one another.

First of all, I never said this man divided us. I said we are a nation divided - there is a difference. I would also like to add that your (and I have no idea who you are - it's unfortunate - I'd love to be able to discuss this without defense - just open discussion) opinion of "it" being between the northeast and california vs. the rest of the country is certainly your opinion, although I dont understand the relevance of this point
( ... )
I would love to tell you all the things that are wrong with your logic, but I prefer for people to make up their own minds. Here is the evidence, you can make your own conclusions:
I couldn't have put it any better. In fact, the only words that came out of my mouth were profanity. I weeped when I heard that Kerry was conceding and I am not ashamed of that.
I, in fact, am choosing not to support the winner. He may be President (an office that I respect deeply, else I would not have cared so much about the outcome of this election), but I am still entitled to consider him a criminal. My hope and energy have now been diverted into winning the House and the Senate so that this man can do no more harm.
On a personal note, It's good to see you writing again.

You should permanently reneg on your decision to not post in your LJ anymore. That'd be cool.

There is nothing worse for our country than an uninformed electorate.
