1) Start with this as your base. Yet again, I have chosen to go with a boring center crop, but Alisha is pretty, so it doesn't matter (much).

2) Now, this cap already has great lightening and it's colors are very normal (and boring, but we'll get to that later). I want to add a bit more contrast, so:
Brightness/Contrast Adjustment Layer → Brightness: 0; Contrast: +31

3) As I said, boring colors! We're going to work on that in baby steps. First, I wanted to pump up the yellows (and the reds, but not as much).
Selective Color Adjustment Layer →
Reds: 0, -6, 0, 0
Yellows: 0, +41, +100, 0
Magentas: 0, +42, 0, 0

4) Because I'm a moron, I decide that maybe I do want to pump up the reds just as much as the yellows. So...
Selective Color Adjustment Layer →
Reds: -57, +11, +6, 0

5) Ok, so it's pretty red. IDK how my mind works or how tired/drunk I was when I made this icon, but OBVIOUSLY the icon is not red enough, right? Right!
Gradient Map Adjustment Layer →
Color Stop 1: fa272a
Color Stop 2: ffffff (white)
Set to soft light at 50%.

6) Controversial gradient time! I'm in love with the effect this particular gradient gives me (IDK, random lighting, darker darks, and a slight yellowish tint.)
Gradient Map Adjustment Layer → Choose the "Copper" gradient. Of all the default gradients, it's the only brown and turdy one (if you aren't familiar with it.) SET IT TO REVERSE. SO IMPORTANT.
Set to soft light at 100%.

7) At this point I must have napped a little, or sobered up a little. IDK. I came to my senses and realized everything WAS WAY TOO DAMN RED. So we're going to make things purple-y now.
Selective Color Adjustment Layer →
Neturals: +96, 0, -55, 0

8) IDK why I did this TBH. My methods are as much of a mystery to me as they are to you.
Photo Filter Adjustment Layer → Warming Filter (85)
Set to 25% opacity.

9) This icon is boring and ugly. We can fix this! Desperate times call for textures.
Apply this (an inverted innocent-lexys texture):

Set to screen at 37% opacity.

10) MORE TEXTURES. This is actually two innocent-lexys textures that I have smushed together for my own greedy purposes:

Set to screen.

11) I have a problem with textures. Once I apply one, I have to apply 186408158109670176 more. So. WE'RE GOING TO ADD THIS TEXTURE (courtesy of innocent-lexys, do you see a pattern here?):

Set to screen.

12) Remember that copper gradient from before? Duplicate it. Drag the duplicate layer to the very top, and set to 50% opacity. I can't explain why I do this. It's a habit... an addiction.

13) Due to my general ineptitude, the icon is now really washed out and you'd think I'd never heard of contrast.
Brightness/Contrast Adjustment Layer → Brightness: -10, Contrast: +40

14) Alisha looks blurry and disgruntled. TIME TO MAKE HER SHARP. If you have things all figured out and have your own way of sharpening, stick with it. I'll never figure out how to sharpen, so I just do the same damn thing every time.
Filter → Sharpen → Smart Sharpen
Basic!
Default Settings!
Amount: 250%
Radius: 0.2 pixels
Remove: Gaussian Blur
