So I'm reading Dirk's authorised biography at the moment as well as his letters as well as his first memoir. He was such a prodigious communicator, so much detailed of his life and words. And the thought keeps touching me that I haven't been journalising at all, not in my own paper journal I mean where all the messiness comes out. No wonder I feel
