nobody ever said it would be easy

So I signed up for Camp NaNoWriMo yesterday as soon as the site went live. And six or so hours later, I realised I had pretty much signed myself a death sentence.

Cos, yeah, transcribing and novellling?

Equals death and despair and screaming frustration.

You can do eeeet!! You definitely won't be alone in the "getting up early, getting writing done, going to work" business. I'm pretty sure this is how many authors with dayjobs or kidlets do it (and other NaNoWriMo people). Even if it's not necessarily early in the morning, I reckon most people of the writerly persuasion have had to set times for themselves, and sometimes put their work away for the day, unfinished (but keen for it the next day). And this might get around the problem of feeling creatively shut down when you get home from work, and then you can just veg out and watch movies/play games until you eventually collapse into bed at nanna o'clock ;)

Yeah, I know. :( I've tried it. Can't do it. I hate leaving it unfinished. I'm never keen, I'm sick with misery and dread. Always feels wrong to me.

No matter. I may have worked out a thing now. Work, come home, nanna nap for two hours, then wake refreshed and write until it's done. *nods* I did that today and it seems to have worked perfect. Except okay, I did finish at two rather than five. Hm.

We'll see. Thank you for the Waterboy encouragement! ♥ And the not so secret lurking.

D'you get my Bookface message or wot? *pokes*
