I know. That name like a waving a red flag at me. The only person I loathe more is Brad Pitt.

And, *sigh*, David Thewlis as Lupin just does not do it for me. I was thinking about it last night and it truly is like I was reading completely different books to the movie makers cos they cast even James Potter as someone old and watery looking. In my head, the entire Marauder gang (well, not Peter) is not-so-old and pretty hot. Kinda like Lex with a few more years. *nods* Raw fucking disappointment, man. But, meh, I don't see my movie life suffering from the loss of HP ... if I can sneak peeks at pix of those kids growing up so gorgeously. :p

Hmm, I haven't read that many SV/Bruce fic ... maybe I should start now ... *ponders*

you're right that they cast the marauders several years too old, and much as i love rickman, he's twenty years too old to be snape. still, aside from lupin, i don't *like* the marauders, so it didn't bother me. (i've been so sympathetic to severus that i tend to look on james and sirius as villains!)

I'm hopefully seeing The Machinist either today or tomorrow, I've been intrigued ever since I saw the preview on Amazon, I think (?), a few months ago.

Have you seen Equilibrium? Silliest movie ever, but yeah, BALE! and various other cool stuff. *snerk* Grammaton clerics.

I loved Equilibrium, was pretty sucked in despite the tenuous storyline. Found the whole medication subtext commentary rather interesting and the gendered depiction of sense offences rather interesting. But, yes, mmmm Grammaton collars. The sunrise reaction .. *dies wif love*

Mmm, can't wait to see your reaction to The Machinist. Don't worry, no spoilers in my review but still yes, it's good to see it totally unprepared. I think.

I intend to buy 'The Machinist' next off my CB list... I'm not sure I'm going to be able to handle it though from what I've read.
