WOW! KUZITE AND BERYL HAVE A CHILD!!! TOGETHER!!!!! I almost missed that... That was a nice twist; I would have never thought of it. Now the lead Shitennou has a connection to that witch that no one can deny, and that he can never get away from.
thank you!!! thetis is beryl's daughter, yes (i thought it made sense, since thetis was always HER youma, and she was so pissy when she died) - but she's actually kunzite's stepdaughter. nonetheless, i HAVE gone and gotten those two crazy kids married, so god only knows what's going to happen when/if venus gets involved x_X
appreciate your lovely comments, as always - they make my day :)
OH MY GIDDY AUNT MERTHYR!!!! Kiunzite married BERYL! And THETIS is her DAUGHTER and there are plans for her and JADEITE to marry!! And this chapter totally explains the Zoi sacrifice fic!!!!! This is brilliant! Brilliant I tell you!!!
:DDD charlie, i am so so so glad you like it! i was actually rereading disillusion a little before writing this chapter, and it made me REALLY want to get around to introducing beryl to the mix, so you're to blame for the speediness of this update. thank you, seriously, your compliments make me like this: *_____*

oh v i hope you like it! it is really (and i mean REALLY) not my style, it's become some kind of horrendously overwhelming epic-monster-thing that i'm sort of afraid to keep writing. but..........there's smut and surprises on the horizon, so i hope i can at least keep it interesting!
HA, so Beryl is indeed Kunzite's wife! I am quite smug now because I called it earlier. *gloats*
But all smugness aside: again, what a killer chapter! I am so excited that we got to see more of Jadeite and Zoisite interacting. What I find really striking is that Jadeite just seems to accept Zoisite as he is. He accepted him as the most impressive mage that ever lived and he now accepts him as a man who has long since crossed the line. I get the impression that his losses have turned Zoisite into a man who won't stop at anything, won't shy away from anything, and will do everything to attain his goals.
In short: he is dangerous as hell.
That's why it's giving me the shivers to see him interacting with Thetis. There is so much potential for disaster there and I can't help but feel that it is very unkind of him to reinforce the idea of Jadeite marrying Thetis when Thetis is so happy with the idea and Jadeite is not. As I said: disaster.

gloat away! i bow to your sleuthing abilities >D
his losses have turned Zoisite into a man who won't stop at anythingyour characterization is just so spot on! zoi is kind of like a wounded cobra. you feel like a fool turning your back on him, and he's probably the most destructive of them all, even weakened from everything life's thrown at him. yet they need someone to do the dirty things no one else will do, so there's a trust and acceptance there he'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else
( ... )
yet they need someone to do the dirty things no one else will do, so there's a trust and acceptance there he'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. Oooooh, interesting, very interesting indeed. So they get to keep their hands clean, but can still get the kind of results you can only achieve by playing dirty. Must make for a very interesting team dynamic.
By now, I am very, very interested in how you are going to write your Endymion and how he is going to fit into this motley crew of red-blooded males. You already hinted at his closeness to Kunzite (I bet that made Spirit really, really happy), but I do wonder how he sees Zoisite and his darker side.
