your characterization is just so spot on! zoi is kind of like a wounded cobra. you feel like a fool turning your back on him, and he's probably the most destructive of them all, even weakened from everything life's thrown at him. yet they need someone to do the dirty things no one else will do, so there's a trust and acceptance there he'd be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.
oh, it's definitely not good for zoisite to be pushing thetis at him, but i think he's sort of worried about the change he sees in jadeite upon his return from mars and hopes settling down will keep his friend from getting in over his head. of course, like you said: disaster in the making.

You already hinted at his closeness to Kunzite (I bet that made Spirit really, really happy), but I do wonder how he sees Zoisite and his darker side.
