Your narrative is amazing! Spellbinding really :D I just sigh all throughout reading this pretty pretty creation of yours. The descriptions, the dialogue, the feel and emotion, and of course the characters!
I'm so excited to see more of their world and I think the connection between Mars and the Far East is just brilliant :)
thank YOU! i'm glad you don't find the language stiff or weird...i'm not really used to writing silmil, and i'm perpetually paranoid that it comes out stilted. so i really appreciate your comments :)
Welcome back Apsara, once again you deliver 8D. I'm especially in awe of your characterization, as I find the both Rei and Jadeite's voices the hardest to pin down for me as a writer XD. And the piece itself is beautiful. *claps hands*
why thank you >DDD for some reason, rei and jade are the only ones i can ever clearly hear in my head, as much as i'd like to write anyone else...i love the push and pull of their dynamic, and how even though they trade off the power play (i think, at least) in their relationship - they're always equals. so happy you find my versions of them convincing!
my boyfriend always laughs at how i still love SM even when its way past my age...he doesnt get this whole write ur own fiction using the characters thing. wait till i stuff this to his face!

ahaha so - i've recently started to subject my boyfriend to my fics as well, just to get a critical eye before i post things. he doesn't even remotely comprehend how a 23 year-old woman can possibly still get into a series about adolescent heroines in skanky sailor costumes, but he's nice enough to grudgingly read over my stuff anyway. you've got to feel sorry for the guys in our life :P thanks so much for the review!!!
“You will not see my equal anywhere, Lord Jadeite.”
She is some kind of BAMF.
Seriously, this is lyrical and lovely, and I can't wait to read more. I wish / hope that dream is not some sort of foreshadowing, but we all now how the story of the SilMil ends.
i know, right? i kind of wish i had rei's man-shriveling ability myself, but unfortunately it takes me hours to come up with whatever she's going to say next :P
and yeah, i wish i could tell you that the dream wasn't some sort of foreshadowing...but your instincts are pretty much right on target. despite the depressing end we all know is coming, i'm so glad you're looking forward to more. thanks for your comments on my stuff, because they seeeriously make my morning :)
As always, I LOVE your narrative. You have such a gift with words.
Bright sparks dance in her irises. He’s learned that fire has many moods, not all of them ferocious.
This. I love this.
And once again I love the complex way you deal with these characters. Their suspicions and political intrigue all mixed in with their attraction for each other.
And the conversation with Kunzite was brilliant. Just the right blend of camaraderie and rebellion against a commander.

oh, thank GOD you said this. i'm perpetually in terror of making kunzite a humorless spud.
thanks again for commenting, just got off a plane that was all kinds of delayed and stuck in various airports, so seeing something positive really brightened my evening :)
