I'm so sorry I'm not giving this fic the awesome 10 page long review it deserves.

I've always loved your style of writing, your ability to create a story. You have such a wonderful way with words, you really, really do.

And your characters, they're perfect. Your Jadeite is awesome, your other shitennou are so brilliantly done as well, I know exactly what they're like and yet we've seen, what? two minutes-worth of Kunzite?

This is so good. I love the world you've created: the fact that the dust makes everything glimmer, the legends behind their bloody sky, the imposing castle, everything.

I'm so glad you're writing this. This is the SilMil Rei/Jade I've always wanted to read.

SHUT UP your reviews are AMAZING, i'm so grateful you took the time to leave these lovely comments for me!

This is the SilMil Rei/Jade I've always wanted to read.

i just wanted to read something that was (almost) completely from his perspective. see what he was thinking and why everything went down the way it did. hopefully i can do it justice..........all my own plot points are starting to run away from me @_@ but thank you sooooooo much and i will keep plugging away at this as fast as i can!

Guh, your opening paragraph is a thing of beauty. I also really like the etymology of her name, and again, your characterisation of Jadeite. You know, even if the quality of the writing hadn't ensnared me already, the fact that you have a horse from Uranus in your story (A GIANT TEMPERAMENTAL PONY) would make me fall in love with this fic.

The idea that the girls come to the moon and train there is also fabulous, and even more so because after, they return to their home planets. Jadeite as a self-made king is a very appealing idea, as is that of Mars's golden cage.

Another thing I really like, a detail, really, is that Jadeite feels sorry for Mars and she doesn't notice and set him on fire.

The conversation between Kunzite and Jadeite was also very cleverly written, it was very tense, very terse, but also spoke of great trust between the two men. And Zoisite as a tortuter? My oh my, I must read on immediately!

A GIANT TEMPERAMENTAL PONY

a giant temperamental SHINY GOLDEN pony, no less. from uranus. this horse is clearly the fruition of all my little-girlhood-desires, right here.

Jadeite feels sorry for Mars and she doesn't notice

i'm glad you noticed! even though mars is as much of a bamf in this story as ever, she's also a little younger, a little less jaded or i guess judgmental, and a little less vigilant, of course because she hasn't gotten royally fucked over yet.

conversation between Kunzite and Jadeite was also very cleverly written

out of all the shitennou, i feel like jadeite's got the most potential to be in a semi-constant state of conflict with kunzite (possibly because kunzite and mars are so similar). so yeah, giant dick-measuring contest there, but also a lot of understanding of each other because of it.

i am so so so glad you like this lytton, seriously, after seeing all your amaaaaazing comments in my inbox today, i had this huge grin that i absolutely couldn't shake :D

Yours and mine both.

*nods* Yup, that's exactly how I see them too. They would butt heads quite often. Doesn't mean they don't care for each other, but definitely means that their relationship is not the easiest to maintain.

I didn't think things could get any better than Part One, but this was so amazing ( ... )

This is very interesting because in present day, I've always pictured Rei as the most stable and least tempted by wanderlust because she seems so contentedly tied to her temple. Past/present disjunctures are always so poignant.

so glad you picked up on that! i think rei's one of those characters who can really go either way; there's so much going on under that cool, collected surface. in her past life, i absolutely see her as a very restless, fiery character, whereas in her present life, she's attained a bit more equilibrium. i also tend to make all of their flaws and foibles much more evident in silmil fics, as i like to imagine those imperfections contributed greatly to their collective downfall... *whistle*

i'm very happy you're enjoying this thus far! i am about halfway done with part seven right now (at long last), and hopefully will have it up before you are done with part six and twiddling your thumbs and looking at me accusingly for more ;D
