i only wish we didn't already know so much about the dynamic being messed with again next season. we finally get the core four back only for them to go "lol no, we need to throw someone else in there too" because clearly the badass Kono from S1 just wasn't cutting it by their standards. le sigh.
what happened to the show that started out so full of promise and seemed like it had dignity? this episode was a MESS. it felt completely un-thought out. one can only hope the writers take a serious breath this summer and re-evaluate.
I know... this show we've been watching is the barest glimmer of the way it started out. When series get this bad, it's usually after they've been on the air for way longer than two seasons.
I'm glad to know others feel the same way and share my frustration.
for real, especially the sudden switch at the end with Chin letting Delano out- WHERE DID THAT EVEN START?1 i felt like i was watching a completely different episode!
See, this is why I should wait to write my episode rant so that it can come out reasoned and well-considered like yours - not a frothing at the mouth howl like mine. I agree with everything you said although I still think Steve should have told Joe to F-off when the old man said that about Danny. Joe has been such a creep to Steve I can't understand why Steve would let him make fun of his partner even in jest. BTW, Lenkov tweeted today that he would "love" to bring Joe back. Sigh. Anyway, as I said in my own rant, I hated this episode and I'm becoming offended by writers who put no thought into their stories and expect us to just accept any drivel they come up with.
Your rant was fine. And I agree that Steve really should have slugged Joe -- and not just for that crack about Danny. I'm reading that grin Steve gave him instead a hand wave because Steve isn't ready to let Joe know just how he does feel about Danny -- and there's a lot I didn't hand wave in this ep, so it has to be something, lol.
Yeah, I just read that Lenkov would love to have Joe back next year (for god's sake, Terry O'Quinn has another show, let it go, Lenkov!) and I'd only be okay with that if it was to kill Joe off. I'll take anybody doing it: Delano, random bad guy, Danny, Steve, Mom, anybody.
Adam: No conspiracy to commit murder charge in H50verse?
I think they threw out realistic injuries with the Diddy episode. The only time they had to worry about it was when Scott Caan pulled his ACL, because it was a real injury.
There are basically two things I want at this point. Everyone visiting Max and Malia in hospital/Team Movie Night (and someone needs to call his parents, they must be worried sick with the whole serial killer/smallpox/gunshot wound arc) and the whole team taking turns yelling at Joe and Mrs. McG. That's all I need.
Yes, good--that's it. A nightmare. in the opener to season three, Steve and Danny will walk out of the shower together and the whole Shelborne arc will be gone.
One of my close friends also watches the show. She loved it, didn't think anything was wrong with it, and when I told her why I didn't like it, said "I don't know, I think you may be over thinking it." Its nice to know I'm not the only one who had problems with it.
If you do write one you should see about letting other fans sign it as well. Like a petition to make them do there jobs. Because all of season 2 came across as very half-assed.

It was in the LA crossover. :)
Which is kind of SAD if you think about it. We finally got confirmation of Danny's police rank and his mother is still alive on another show.
