Submitted my essay, but then realized I said something twice!

Okay. I'm freaking out. I already submitted my essay, and now I can't change it. While revising, in the first paragraph, I stated which two professors I was excited to work with and why, and in the third paragraph, I did the same thing. Email the graduate applications coordinator at the program and ask if you can submit an edited version. This might not be possible in the system, but a kind coordinator might swap the files before they get to the admissions committee.

Honestly, I say to just calm down. Believe it or not, grad school admissions aren't about dissecting every grammatical error or typo, etc., though ideally there shouldn't be any errors like this. However, if you are interesting enough and fit for the school, this shouldn't matter--would you throw out someone else's app for a small error like this?

As long as all 3 profs mentioned work at the school in question, and you've spelled their names correctly, there is no problem here.
