Favorite flashcard-makin' site?

Scanned the tags for this - no dice.

I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for sites where I can make my own vocab flashcards? I saw the post from thekatespanos  sharing her own (which have been enormously helpful -- thanks!), but I'm hoping that the process of typing the definitions out myself will promote memorization.

It's (free) software, not a website, but have you looked at Mnemosyne? Super easy to use, you can type the cards yourself, and it will display the definition below the word. Each time you see a card you give it a rating 0-5 based on how hard it was to remember, and it will cycle cards more or less often depending on how well you know them.

Something that's always worked for me: just use Powerpoint.

Design a slide that has two text boxes and just animate one so they don't initially appear at the same time. Then turn on the slide show and click through it.
