Personal Achievements/Contributions

Gulp.

I'm not sure how i did it, but I've glossed over the portion of my Numero Uno's School's application requirement of a brief Personal Achievements/Contributions.

They want a diverse population... and give financial hardship, fluency in other languages, bicultualism, or proof that my research will benefit the disadvantaged.

Balls! )

m.a., personal achievements, theatre

Personal achievements are that: personal. Have you volunteered your time helping someone else? Tutoring? Feeding the hungry? Etc. Have you ever run your own theater production - maybe even in high school? Wrote an article for a free newspaper/magazine? Done anything that makes you feel really proud but you really can't talk about it anywhere else since it's not academic? Maybe you were cast as lead? Or something.

Good luck. :)

Thank you. :)

Ugh! Why is it that when pressed, I can't seem to think of a single noteworthy thing to be proud of!

also, I have totally pegged this feeling as the same feeling I had my senior year of high school when we were assigned to write our undergraduate statements and I wrote scathingly about how I'd courageously escaped the hypocrisy of organized religion. You know, instead of writing about charity work or something constructive.

Oh, 18-year old me... :/
