I agree with a previous poster that gaining research experience is far superior to taking grad courses in the eyes of adcoms.

For paid lab positions, do a search on your preferred university's web site for "[subfield] psychology lab manager". Or, if you're able to travel over the summer, certain programs offer paid summer research internships. These can be a terrific way of gaining substantial research experience in the labs of well known professors who will usually write you a LOR at the end of the experience. If you'd consider this option, act quickly; a lot of the summer research applications have already passed but I'm sure there are others out there. GL!
