"TEENS WHO DON'T WANT TO HAVE SEX SHOULDN"T LEARN HOW TO PUT ON CONDOMS! THERE'S NO REASON TO FORCE THEM TO LEARN THESE THINGS!"

And I believe the rate of premarital sex is what, like 80%+? UGH.
Adults are so fucking blind it's not even funny.

I wouldn't mind if many, many people did abstinence. Especially if I get to pick who, and for how long.
(Seriously, though: I belive abstinence can relieve many issues, life becomes simpler without sex. But most people are just to weak: you must really believe in and understand the true benefits. By this propaganda, people get fear and pressure as bad guidance, resulting in hypocrisy and eventually sex under shame and with little education.)

and it's that so much money is being spent on said lies.
i support having a balanced curriculum that mentions abstinence on top of correct facts about the rest, because many are already having sex in one way or another by then. i do not support lies and one sided teachings that are absolutely worthless and do harm by promoting unsafe behaviour among teenagers (who do more harm by spreading misinformation they may have learned this way to their peers and partners).

you'd think the bush administration's first priority on the war on abortion would be to cut off funding to the nation's #1 abortion services provider. even then planned parenthood wouldn't be affected too much, but that is always surprising.

well yea, messed up. I've always had such phobia of pregnancies and pregnant women that it's close to impossible to enjoy sex unless I have a 200 % proof that it will not cause potential damage .. like well, sterilization will do.
