New layout! I was going to change the colors from the default pink and black, but I think I'll let 'em stay for now. Will also fix up header later. (B, are you thinking of a certain love letter? ;D)

I've been talking to jandjsalmon about the dgficexchange, and I'm thinking I'll help mod the spring exchange! Exciting stuff ( Read more... )

Thanks, J! I wasn't feeling my last layout - I mean, I liked the template buuut my header sucked and I changed it to bad colors. I kind of suck at color coordinating :P

THANK YOU! I will need all the luck I can get. Especially for stats :X And I feel so good that I can read that HAHA.

That's Jake G from Jarhead, right? LOVE the icon. SEXYBACK INDEED!

Color coordination is not easy. I always find myself refreshing each time I change something to see if it looks good. UGH. Also you know how LJ lets do that CSS layers stuff? OH MY GOD, I can't do it. Easy my ass!!!

It's a huge accomplishment whenever I can read something in Chinese or decipher enough to understand the sentence. SO YAYYYYYYYY, JIA YOU!

I've shown you Jake's sexyback, now I shall show you CEVANS' sexy FRONT. :D :D :D

HAHAHA JIA YOU! JIA YOU, JIA YOU! I had a psuedo handheld Nintendo thingy my uncle got me from China that would shout that at me when I played with it.

JIA YOU!

. . . seriously, I'm kind of on crack right now, but everything easily amuses me. And I got really proud when I saw that I understood what that meant. :D

Aaack I'm reading The Golden Compass right now. Um, is it blasphemous to say that I'm really bored with it? The only thing that's truly interesting me currently is the concept of the daemons/being severed. I want more Roger, I liked him. I've had enough of Lyra. XD I have a feeling this is one of those books where I'm going to have to read the sequels in order to actually appreciate what's going on in this one? So I kind of can't wait to be done and move onto the Subtle Knife instead.

I really adore your layout. I need to return to Draco/Ginny sometime soon. I miss those crazy kids. ;) (Also, "set fire to the third bar." That song, um, it makes me cry. I'M LAME, SHUT UP. IT'S A NICE SONG.)

Hhaa, no of course not! I agree, I think the climax of book 1 is when you find out what intercision/a severed child is. I got CHILLS when I read to that part with the "ghost" in the shed. With Lyra - I totally relate. She really irritated me in the beginning, I thought she was kind of stupid and annoying, BUT - she totally won me over by the end of book 1. It was sort of a gradual thing, which I really appreciated. The sequels definitely have their interesting concepts and stuff,

Thank you! Oh, I hope you DO return to D/G soon! I totally associate you with my early D/G experiences. SO NOT LAUGHING AT YOU! I ADORE that song. So, SO inspirational for writing.

When Pan was straining toward the bear and yet he and Lyra couldn't be separated, that strong image of a "tie" between them was what made me make the connection between the daemons and the fact that people kept talking about "severed" children. I was like OH SHIT NO. Aaand now I've totally skipping ahead to find out what happens with the daemons. I think I have a fascination with that level of attachment to another being. It's such a cool thought, and I'd been wondering ever since I found out a daemon died with its human, what would happen the other way round? Now if only the entire rest of the book could be as intriguing as this. :P (I'm so so happy to find out both Lyra and the books get better, haha ( ... )

Mm, I agree, the attachment with the daemon is one of the most interesting things in the story. I don't remember if they specifically addressed this but...I'm thinking killing the daemon will kill the human? B/c when people grabbed the daemons, the humans felt the pain. Haha well I don't know about the books getting better - they just bring in so many more details that are really interesting to contemplate. Personally, book 1 was my favorite. BUT there's like, a lot going on in the other books too! It definitely gets more intriguing in book 2 though.

HAHA AW thank you! Nicest thing ever! ♥ I definitely remember you as being one of my first livejournal friends, back when LJ seemed so HUGE and intimidating. And spring - let the senioritis kick in and just COAST :D

Thanks, G! I think the other Jess, rarity, is too busy w/ RL stuff this round. A couple other ppl have volunteered to help out too, so I'm excited! I've DEFINITELY learned more about running an exchange from the first time I did it, and just following/participating in other exchanges :P I know I told Tara this, but I totally held dmhgficexchange as like, the model/bar to reach ( ... )

I know :\ I hydrated myself all day today, wore a jacket and a sweatshirt and a sweater, and it was only like...6 degrees, so...here's to hoping.

GOOD LUCK! omg, YAY last exam! It's almost over :)

P.S. The book says it's a "compiled html help" file? It works the same way your FAQ/Help files work on the computer -- well, as far as I know they work on PCs :\ I've never seen one on a Mac though.
