New layout! I was going to change the colors from the default pink and black, but I think I'll let 'em stay for now. Will also fix up header later. (B, are you thinking of a certain love letter? ;D)

I've been talking to jandjsalmon about the dgficexchange, and I'm thinking I'll help mod the spring exchange! Exciting stuff

When Pan was straining toward the bear and yet he and Lyra couldn't be separated, that strong image of a "tie" between them was what made me make the connection between the daemons and the fact that people kept talking about "severed" children. I was like OH SHIT NO. Aaand now I've totally skipping ahead to find out what happens with the daemons. I think I have a fascination with that level of attachment to another being. It's such a cool thought, and I'd been wondering ever since I found out a daemon died with its human, what would happen the other way round? Now if only the entire rest of the book could be as intriguing as this. :P (I'm so so happy to find out both Lyra and the books get better, haha.)

Oh, dude, I totally associate YOU with my D/G experiences too! I just remember being like, good Draco/Ginny = applecede. I think you were the beginning of my trend to actually be picky about what fic I read. (And, um. I also remember being madly in love with your version of Blaise. He was so DARLING.) So yeah, I'm totally ready to hop aboard the Spring Ficathon train right now. It'll be good timing, what with being after midyear exams, and since it's senior year, NOT WORRYING ABOUT FINALS YAY.

Mm, I agree, the attachment with the daemon is one of the most interesting things in the story. I don't remember if they specifically addressed this but...I'm thinking killing the daemon will kill the human? B/c when people grabbed the daemons, the humans felt the pain. Haha well I don't know about the books getting better - they just bring in so many more details that are really interesting to contemplate. Personally, book 1 was my favorite. BUT there's like, a lot going on in the other books too! It definitely gets more intriguing in book 2 though.
