Last night, I curdled into sleep on the couch, a marionette carelessly discarded by a bored puppeteer. Nothing is colder than the aching insufficiency of pre-dawn air, scraping over my eyelids like frost-bitten windshield wipers. I really like how you evolved this story. The character of Jen is an interesting one and I felt for her.

I really like this. It's has everything I love about flash pieces -- it's brief, to the point, and punched me in the face with unexpected awesome. I especially liked the end when she "blinks back to the present, hits skip". It struck a cord in me, as that's certainly how I deal with those nagging, awful memories I'd rather forget. (And then proceed to remind myself that as far as I'm concerned none of those things ever really happened.)

But yes. Do write more <3 You have a way with words. Even your "regular" posts are lovely and poetic. I am filled with jealousy :D

Thank you very much for this feedback! I really appreciate it. I find that I actually do best with flash pieces, because anything longer, I end up over-writing. Now the trick is, keeping that momentum. But, thank you! **WARM GLOW** :)
