How it happened is a subject of heated debate, but one solid fact remains: the Earth that was a home to all of humanity is gone. People lived, worked, and died. Nations rose and fell, as nations are wont to do. Time passed, things changed, and by the time the intelligence from a few galaxies away happened upon what was left it was already finished. The only substantial evidence left to piece together our story was what humanity had made: fictionAfter years of development and disaster, they've created the city of Taxon, a home for as close an approximation to life from Earth as they can manage. Placed safely in a large cavern on the inside of an abandoned moon, the project is a blend of archeology and highly advanced programming. With a few lines of code, buildings are built or restored.
