Wow. I've really been remiss in my "duties" here at LJ. I haven't been reading my friends list, I haven't been posting anything - I've just been generally absent and lazy. Actually, I've been busy. I've been busy with stuff that interferes with my blogging motivation, but have made an effort to start putting some time into it again nonetheless ( Read more... )

As far as I'm aware, GoDaddy.com isn't moving normal webhosting to Windows - just domain parking. Still, if you're moving for ideological reasons, go for it. Let me know what webhosts you decide you like.

Well, I'll probably host myself on a 486 Pentium. Gentoo, Apache, MySQL.

If that's what works for you, go for it. For myself, though - I'm not so keen on having to recompile Apache because of a bugfix.

To jump in (my apologies) jan-jr-ent.biz is useless for me IIRC. I'll probably stick with GoDaddy as my registrar (cheapest in town), at least until they go public and prices go up. ):

You should point it at opensourceparking.com though, as long as you're not actually using it.
