TDoV and other things

GYM: Started and closed with military presses, which seems to be a functional way to approach things. This worked DESPITE me having to take not only two Night Nurse but also two (TWO) nuclear strength sleeping pills (The ones that are running out, you know) AND spend the occasional hour or two trying to persuade Jess to stop hitting me in the head ( Read more... )

You did gym on four sleeping pills? I take one allegedly non-drowsy anti-histamine and can barely function.

Is there a specific fitness goal? The PT might help you with that. Because it sounds like you're in good shape overall, so you may be trying to achieve something that requires a more specific technique.

Good post!

Meanwhile I take two drowsy-ass anti-histamines and two 10mg zopiclone/dopareel/Lunesta tablets and then FINALLY sleep; the gym was the next day when I was still a bit groggy and aimless but you know, functional.

My specific fitness goal is still "stop looking like a sack of potatoes" and one of the PTs specialises in fat-burning and muscle-building/toning (they have their personal statements and photos on the wall so you can choose who to work with) but he is also one of the people I am Most Scared Of PT-wise so. SDh vauovdha ova. It's possible I'm just being impatient.

I would be a zombie. (It turns out ASMR recordings are about as effective as anthistamines in putting me to sleep, because my brain is ridiculous.).

I think a good PT could help you get a good sense of whether you're making progress at a good rate or not, whether there's a more efficient way to get what you want, and also have an outside perspective on how you look relative to how you want to look. (It's hard to be objective about one's own appearance.)

Can you share some of that please? Because my brain has basically taken five days to get the hang of falling asleep and still can't seem to manage it before 2am.

Mm. They're doing free body MOTs this week so I might ask for one on Wednesday and at least find out how badly wrecked they think I am.
