Wow, you're productive on the writing front. (I had a few drinks the other day and went from "I'm not sure if this is interesting or appealing to anyone but me" to "Imma send it off to this magazine's story contest and win a thousand dollars!" ...I'm probably not going to win a thousand dollars.)
Can you banish the year with glitter? I'm tired of "Who died today?" (Sadly, I don't expect 2017 to be any better, although I am planning to actually do the Writing Week In The Woods I've been fantasizing about for ages.)
Yes, Tumblr! Enthusiasm for things! Don't just tell me it has lesbians, tell me if they're being interesting and doing the kinds of things I like to read about! (And don't tell me I should enjoy it because Disability Representation, like that means I'll relate or have anything in common with the character, because there's a lot of stuff that's legitimately good representation of the lives and experiences of some people with disabilities that I nonetheless have no interest in
( ... )
1. Statistical evidence on my sending-people-things to getting-paid-for-things ratio is against you. 2) at least you've found a distraction mechanism that produces underappreciated genius?
(Good news - the reason why I'm up this late is because I gave one of my stories a massive rewrite and now have it in publishable form, and have identified a possible market, and will be throwing it at them within the next few minutes!)
EXCELLENT! (It will be very safe bits of woods, with an exceptionally low risk of dying.)
So many wannabe Puritans on Tumblr! They're all about Improving Fiction, shunning sinners, and making up rules everyone's sexuality must conform to.

I AM BLOODY WELL INTENDING TO BANISH THIS YEAR (good luck in the woods, please don't die)
"Should" just won't work. Don't these dunces remember school? Like, "this book is Important" did not make anyone eager to read the Scarlet Letter.
It's very puritanical. And unhelpful.

(woods-woods or jungle-woods?)
Almost like the dogmatism and abstinence part of their upbringings has not actually left them.
