In that I was meant to go to fireworks tonight with Alex M but cannot because I had to write first, and writing went on rather later than it usually does (I've only just sent it out at 6.20pm) because I didn't get up until about 1pm, because I didn't go to BED until 3.45am

Wait, someone wanted you to dance to Wuthering Heights in a way that wasn't the whole complicated dance from the video? What's wrong with them?

I kind of like music scenes that have a large percentage of not-good-looking people? Like I'm always happy to see good-looking peple, but like with a lot of dance scenes it seems to be such a thing being HOT and FIERCE and FABULOUS that I tend to feel out of place? Like I know that there are people who would happily dress me up in a way that would go over well, but I can just show up for indie stuff all "Hi, I'm wearing whatever, let some music happen."

I know! But then someone was dancing the wrong way to Nirvana later and seemed confused that people were slam-dancing to the Sex Pistols so I can only assume that they just had a terrible case of resting bitch face.

Oh, no, see, I'm fine with that - obviously I don't want to stand out as the Underdressed Ugly One - but I also need to have at least one person that's worth me fixing my eyes on while I dance. That's all. Window-dressing.

Yeah, and given the number of people in a dance club, there should logically be at least a few good-looking ones.

I mean on the plus side everyone was an unusually terrible dancer, so I definitely didn't stand out as Bad Dancer Person as I sometimes do ;)
