Yesterday: was interviewed for a study, had my blood taken, rambled into a dictaphone, answered "social cognition" questions on a video, had my smaller size binder ride up and dig into my liver for four fucking hours, and bruised my hips. Also coughed up more fucking mucus.

Today: took Susanne her pie:

Lagavulin 16 is my favourite :) I got a bit over-excited when I found the pub that the fetish meet I go to had it, and ordered a triple. This miiight have contributed to my banged head and scraped ear.

The tiny rose cake is adorable!

Bellowing "THIS ONE IS OLD ENOUGH TO HAVE SEX WITH" is a good way to make friends in a quiet pub at lunchtime. ;) Lagavulin 16 is NICE.

It was not tremendously sweet, I might adjust the recipe for rose oil rather than rose water.

I like my whisky like I like my people- over the age of consent :)

Heh, I always thought the people who said "twelve years old and mixed up in coke" were a) dubious and b) spoiling their whisky.

Awesome-looking pie! I'm making cinnamon cupcakes for my cousin's birthday. (Homemade cream cheese frosting is brilliant.)

Lagavullin! We totally need to go out and drink together if I can get to the UK like I want.

I found a recipe online for the cupcakes and tweaked it - there were too many bits of orange and lemon zest and not nearly enough actual cinnamon.

So fun!

i love that you labeled the pie so there can be NO DOUBT as to whose pie it is. most importantly, tho, was it a good pie? was susanne pleased? also the tiny pink cake is adorable and now i want a cupcake. >.< i've seen recipes for single-serve chocolate cake, but those are made in a mug in the microwave. the tiny pink cake baked in a cupcake liner is much cuter.

Well mostly because I had some leftover pastry after I trimmed the edges. ;)

I felt like being obstinate (and cakes don't seem to be as nice out of the microwave), but I suspect mug + micro is probably a much more convenient way of making cakes if you're working in an office or living in a dorm.
