I'm pretty sure there's a Doctor Who episode in there, but you wouldn't like the moral (something about how he had to die because he did already, and you had to live because you could). Less depressingly, could I make my own time machine and save both of you?

It's mostly random but when you described yourself as a sandwich, i had a flash of my mum's kiwi/cheese sandwiches and i gotta say they do suit you and your description ;) (i hope kiwi/cheese suits you!!)
