I dunno but I bet they have fewer sore throats and less weird crap in their houses...
Etsy did a load of peyote-stitch specific glow-in-the-dark beads as well... I am fairly confident that most of this stuff is manufactured in VC at least, so surely some should be available commercially as well...
GOOD GRIEF ARE YOU ALRIGHT?
Oh there's this, this documentary series on the iPlayer at the moment about Secrets of Bones, hosted by a charmingly insane man called Ben Garrod. They used some machines to test bones against concrete, like you do. Rhino bones were insanely strong - rhino femurs withstand the kind of compressive pressure you'd expect to find in the middle of a bloody planet.
I'm fine. I got a paintball hard to one fingertip, and it's kind of swollen. I also have a couple of welts and a sore spot where I kept getting shot in the head, but basically okay.
Heh, well you were full of interesting stories so it was no hardship. And I admit that observing other people's lack of impulse control is somehow deeply satisfying :D Enjoy your purchases and rest of your weekend!
P.S. I'm finally watching District 9 and yes, it is goooooood
but a tube map water bottle is really useful! so are cutting mats! and glow-in-the-dark embroidery floss and beads are REALLY COOL, and i'm going to go out on a limb and guess that they'll be used to make/decorate something equally cool. glow-in-the-dark stuff is nifty. (unless we're talking 70s style blacklight posters, in which case they're just cheesy.)
that thing about the bones is kind of scary, but good to know!
on the off-chance you see this after you get back from the movie, how was it?
it was a pretty good movie - i appreciate that jj likes to make very slow films that aren't afraid of drawing things out, and it worked very well with vampires. knowingly silly in places, and for a vampire film was quite a lot about living, life, and interfamilial relations as much about death, power, or addiction.

Glow in the dark beads? I want those so much!
I paintballed! It was painful (still having trouble typing) but exciting!
How'd you learn that about the bone?
