Ooh, that's awesome about finishing work and getting chocolate! I fully support getting free chocolate for stuff. (The other day, one of my co-workers gave me half her ice cream. I was delighted.)
Doing 50k that quickly is still awesome, but you can think of it however you want.
Good luck with the writing, and with de-stinkifying your dress!
Apropos of nothing, you remember that conversation about English embroidery and using directionality of the thread to create work that looks like painting? I stopped off at a Vietnamese embroidery place and got some pictures of what they do here. They're just cell phone pictures so you can't see the details, but you can get a sense of how elaborate and beautiful some of this can be.

mmm, chocolate. and 50k words is pretty damn good so early in the month! i'm at least two days behind and have been stuck at 5400 words for three days. >.< i know what happens next, i just can't make myself write it. nyargh.
i'm guessing the parachute dress is called that because it's made out of parachute material, but how do you wash that stuff? because i'm kind of picturing a bathroom sink overflowing with parachute. good luck, in any case.
You could just write a summary of what you know happens as a placeholder, and then come back to it when you've written the next bit, if it's really troubling you?
It is made out of an actual parachute! The "parachute dress" is a specific style which is big on loose gathers and sort of loops of fabric, but I thought it would be hella funny to make it out of a parachute. If I do have to handwash it I have at least cut off the excess fabric, and I have a bath to wash it in. :D
