I really like that names post! It's interesting! (If I had to chose my own name, it'd be a real struggle, because I'm now old enough to know how very indecisive I am about things like that, and much like my answer to the "If you could make your body into whatever felt right for you, what would it be like?" is "shapeshifter", I'd either need a name that magically transformed to fit my mood or end up settling on something that's just as much "It's not bad, and it's convenient for everyone to know what to call me" as my current name.

That sounds like an awesome day out!

And I guess there's nothing to say that people SHOULDN'T be content with what they're given to begin with, more that if you're not, you're allowed to say "no, I want something else".

I definitely agree people should be able to pick something. I was just thinking about why I never got a name change (or a tattoo) - basically, I'm far too indecisive to make permanent decisions.

In itself a solid personality trait!

yay for official name-dom! i love that the deed poll people give you a list of every place you have to tell, how you get a hold of them, and what exactly they need from you. how convenient and helpful! also i really do love your name. (i always pronounced "algia" in my head kind of like "algae-a". it's a good thing i never had to actually say it out loud.)

>>+ I have more antibiotics for my face did I mention that?<<

GOOD.

I imagine most people do pronounce it that way - it's a root Greek word and is normally part of words like "nostalgia" and "neuralgia" with a G that's kind of halfway between the G in algae and the zjuh I'm using blah blah blah linguistics blah.

YES BUT I CAN'T TAKE THEM UNTIL AFTER SATURDAY
