He only mutters, "Oh now you notice," and goes on reading the Guardian, but Sherlock makes a minute sound of pain and his ears prick up at once

Gosh this is excellent. I love all the details that flesh out Mycroft's life, or rather, the way he doesn't actually change throughout the fic but the relocation from the Diogenes Club to home makes you look at him from a completely different angle. I think maybe my point is that Mycroft is the best?
