I saw that fic, but sadly I'm not familiar with canon, and about a paragraph in, I realized I didn't know who anyone was or what exactly was going on. Sorry.

Hah, no, I know. I am mostly sulking that even the people who DID see the film didn't like it very much.

(I would recommend the audiobook version of the original novel which I am listening to at work at the moment, the narrator has a hypnotically lovely voice, and is rather good at accents.)

I can offer a sheet of medical strength co-codamol? Is that opiate based?

Yes, the co part stands for codeine, which is opiate-based. What's the paracetamol/codeine dose per pill? Sometimes they prescribe stuff that's about OTC strength (which is about 12mg/100mg or 12mg/500mg).
