that blog post was really, really beautiful...it was something scary and awful and wholly necessary to be reminded of.

Yeah, considering several of my friends lost someone they were close to recently - very unexpectedly - I thought perhaps it might help them.

that first link is a very sad but very true blog post. and oddly enough one of my online friends did pass away yesterday. (i actually met her in person first and then in the time-honored way of people who share a fandom we friended each other on lj when we got home.) i don't feel as if i knew her that well, but it doesn't really matter - she still had good friends who never got to meet her in person and who mourn her now that she's gone.
