And, I had a friend who would love to write the second one (he wrote nothing but government thrillers for awhile), but then he ended up in drug-related trouble and then go out of drug-related trouble, possibly thanks to his repressed gay feelings brother (seriously, though!) and is now a carpenter who does not write.
I tried TV-writing once, and it was such a soul-crushing experience that it is one project I know I will never finish. TV scripts, like play scripts, need an audience. At least with playwrighting, I could pretend that my play would one day see the stage at a Fringe Festival or some other place for new playwrights to showcase their work. TV writing basically felt like "okay, so, I'm about to write something with no audience whatsoever. Right."

Mmmmhmmm, and I was so specific about what I wanted to see, I have no idea if I want a TV series or some hateful Pomo thing which has elements of the screenplay to it and UGH.
