Many and Varied are the Brain Worms; At time of Writing they remain Uncured, but we retain Hope that they may, at least, be Subdued.

I have brainworms lots. I hate suddenly realising they're making me act strangely, so other people notice, which then neatly reinforces the brainworm. They're awful things.

They are persistent little fucking parasites, hard to dislodge, but I've met people who've subdued 'em...

Brainworms is a good term for it. On reflection most of mine have to do with my appearance, which is pathetic, but managed to add up into sort of loathing myself for having a vag when I was eighteen or so. I got better from that but I still have problems w/the... building blocks, I guess. So that blows! /sharing

I had one of those from 15-16 and then again from about 21-23. Maybe slightly longer the second time, and that was down to the brainworm "I would love you if you weren't a girl". :( [/hears you]

I love the term 'brainworms.' It's perfect, actually. And I'm glad you wrote this. And I'm sorry if I pissed you off the other day. I am always hyperbolic, and very rarely coy or any of those things. This is really well-put, and thank you.

Eh, I was PMSing, a lot of people pissed me off. Like, most of the ones drawing breath on the planet. NBD. ;)
