Character Illo Post #4, Thursdayverse (Cops & Doctors)

Travis McCoy
One of the few people who can claim to be a Good Guy, even if he's claiming it with a heavy side of hypocrisy, Travis has always wanted to be a cop. Save the world from the Black Hats; it's a bit harder when he has a couple of Bad Guy traits himself and a tendency to forget to sweat the details when he's fixed his sights on the big prize. He likes big butts, broad blunts, and being someone who protects and serves, and he's wearing four or five layers of masks at any given time in the Way Hotel just to stay alive. A soft heart and being slightly too speedy to judge, not subtle enough in his distinctions between the varying shades of grey, and not being as smart as he thinks he is don't serve Travis well at all.
Dr Amanda Palmer
Hoiked out of drama school by pushy, controlling parents and shoved at med school instead, Amanda is militantly weird and in love with the idea of putting herself through art school in Paris instead of living out her parents' dream, and drags Brian around with her like a toy; they've been friends since med school and are both up to their ears in debt to Ways, who "took care" of the loan sharks Amanda's father and Brian's mother both applied to in order to get them through school. Dr Palmer is a founding member of the Sisterhood of Indulgence; bossy and flashy, she dislikes the current situation but she's smart enough to know how to work it to her advantage. Or so she thinks.
Brian Viglione
Much like Amanda, Brian's career path has been decided for him by his parents, and then redecided by his debt to the loan sharks and to the Ways. He's a little on the weird side, but his heart's very much in the right place when it comes to Real People (and not the criminal element he's currently working with). He longs for communism, Cuban-style, cute girls, and the chance to do something worthwhile with the knowledge he's got even if he never wanted it in the first place. He may have dropped out of med school near the final hurdle, but he thinks he can probably pick up and finish training in Havana, if he can just afford to get there.
