America waited patiently where he told England to meet with him, hidden fairly well in the slight hollow of a thickly grown tree and over grown weeds. He was fiddling with an unlit cigarette in is mouth, braiding up some of those long stems together to preoccupy himself. His paddle was propped against his shoulder as a precaution.

...Freakin' "randomly assigned" weaponry. Not only was it going to be more difficult to kill with it, it was disgustingly ironic having been on the receiving end of Vietnam's in the past. If she doesn't turn out to be friendly, then he'd happily get some blows back at her with the stupid thing.

Ugh, that thought felt a little to eager. He really doesn't want to play this game and enjoy it, damn it. It's best if he protects his friends for as long as he can and make sure some sadistic egomaniac like Prussia doesn't win ( ... )

He read the last text over England's shoulder and sighed in relief. She probably tripped or panicked and just let off some gunfire by accident. His ears perked as he heard the small but not-so-distant voice echoing out to them.

"Hey, she's not that far off...I think Seychelles is over that way."

[txt2Seychelles] with iggy. hear u. heading ur way.

The news that Seychelles wasn't under attack as far as either party new was reassuring, but that didn't keep him from erring on the side of caution. America glanced about, making sure that there were no enemies lurking about as he started to move in the direction he heard the girl nation's voice and gesturing to England to follow close.

Jumping a bit when the little device went off again--and so quickly, this time--she glanced down at it, a smile lighting her face. Yes! Perfect! She glanced over her shoulder, looking down at Spain.

Spain blinked at Seychelles for a moment, then swore as she skittered away, flailing just a tad before hurrying after her and staring up the tree at her--then quickly looking down again and off to the side, rubbing his eyes.

"Seychelles. Seychelles! Chica linda, get down from there and lower your voice!" Spain hissed up at her, looking around a little hysterically and loosening the tanto from its scabbard.

"See?" she called down to him, holding up the PDA and waving it for him to see. "They heard me! I knew it'd work!"

It was only when she saw Spain panic-ridden face that the smile fell away from her face, and she raised an eyebrow at him. "What're you doing? What's wrong?"

"Just...come down from there, please?"

Spain shuffled back toward their things quietly, listening to the forest around them. There weren't any birds or other animal noises, just the rustle of wind in leaves and--there, the vague, not so far off noise of people coming at them.

"Do you know, chica...one of the things you never do in war? Tell anyone where you are, if they don't already know. Not even your allies."

Keeping hies eyes and ears sharp as he approaches closer, America picks up another sound--a male voice, hissing harshly. He couldn't make out what the other was saying, but a deep frown set in his features as he turned to England.

"She's not alone...doesn't sound good."

She stared after him, brow furrowing in confusion. What was wrong with him? It worked, didn't it?

Feeling a bit deflated, she did as he requested, listening to him as she crawled down and out of the tree. "...Why?" she asked as she touched down on the moist earth, wandering over to her own things and picking up her gun. "They're looking for us, though!"

Spain shook his head a little, waving her closer to him and holding out his hand to take hers. The way she kept saying 'they'; he knew England was coming, he'd seen that text, but who else could be with him? France, possibily, that she would be so excited about having them headed for them...?

He hadn't signed up for dealing with more than one person that had stabbed him in the back.

"The reason you don't just go yelling about in a forest, Seychelles," he said softly, turning toward where the noises of approach were getting even louder, "is because you don't know just who is coming at you."

"Just a Brit and an American, Spain. Nothing too dangerous."

England gave a grin as he spotted the two, panting a bit as he tucked his PDA away and took a deep needed breath.
"I've been looking all over hell and creation for you Seychelles..."
He glanced to Spain, "I thought you were alone and in danger."

His eyes trailed to the rather large UZI and the frown deepened. Just what kind of game were these people pulling to throw in a weapon like that!

He glances down at the UZI too, partially happy that she's the one armed with it, partially envious and partially pissed again at how sick the game is. The glance is brief though, as the American's eyes go right to Spain and the tanto in his hand, loose from it's scabbard and his hand extended to Seychelles. His own grip around his paddle tightens as he puts a calming hand on England's shoulder.

"At least she's safe, though."

His eyes never left Spain.

"Right?"

Spain frowns at them both, his stomach clenching slightly in annoyance and worry, scrambling to grab Seychelles' hand now that the two had arrived and shifting his grip on the tanto slightly.

"Sí, she's perfectly safe. No need for pirates and thieves to offer her false security."

America really doesn't like his attitude and feels right to be holding out his paddle now. He suppresses a growl when he sees the Spaniard try to grab Seychelle's hand.

"Oh yeah, perfectly safe with you, fidgeting with your knife there. And what was all that gun fire about, huh?"

Hiding a tiny sigh of relief as England and America emerged from the undergrowth, Seychelles nonchalantly (and not to mention a bit awkwardly) pulled the UZI's strap over her shoulders, setting the weapon gingerly against her back.

She was just stepping forward, a snarky comeback already forming on her lips for England's benefit, when she felt something grab onto her hand.

Jolting the smallest bit, she looked up at Spain, instinctively curling her fingers around those that now held hers so tight despite her bewilderment. What--what was up with him?

"Huh?" she managed, glancing down at their hands, up to Spain's face, around to England and America, and...what was up with all of them? They were all tense, bodies stiff, eyes narrowed, and--she flinched when America spoke, an edge to his voice that made her feel as if her insides had been wrung out--words sharp. Why was--this didn't feel like a friendly meeting at all. "H-hey, what're you--what's wrong with you guys, huh?"

He wants to be reassuring to the girl nation, but he really can't as he would be lying. That, and he doesn't dare to take his eyes of Spain.

"Now, now, that's no way to treat a lady, Spain. Especially if you're claiming to protect her."

Spain's frown deepens into nearly a scowl, before he smiles brightly, giving a bit of a laugh and looking down at Seychelles, squeezing her hand reassuringly.

"Don't be afraid."

He looked back up at America and England then, shifting the knife in his hand once more. "Well, wouldn't you have it out too, America? It's a dangerous forest we're in. Don't know what sort of liars and cheats are out there. And the gunfire was teaching her how to protect herself. See?" Vaguely, he gestured toward the tree they'd been using as a target.

"While the two of you were about, I was making sure she could protect herself. Which, with the two of you around, is an important thing to learn."
