So the kid was playing king of the castle now, huh? Fucking hilarious. But he figured he'd go down and see what he wanted, since going home did sound like a good idea.

He climbed down the ladder and looked around. "Okay, how the hell am I the first one here," he snorted. "Bunch a' losers in this place, for fuck's sake."

The Count takes a few moments to tidy his cuffs and waistcoat, and then leaves his room and walks briskly to the agricultural area.
He gracefully sweeps in and favors Robin with one of his brilliant smiles. "A wise idea my young friend. We should all discuss our plans. Have you noticed there are cuttings for trees in this room? There is much I do not recognise among this equipment, but I know a great deal about the botany and sciences of Europe and the Mediterranean, and I believe I recognise some of the species."

James turns from his walk towards the computer room and thinks for a moment. At least someone was willing to discuss. He could find out something.

He changes directions and heads towards the ladder. He hadn't been down a level yet.

He'll be present for Richard if he didn't wake for this.

Robin raised his eyebrow at Church, but chose to ignore him in favor of addressing the Count. "I have noticed the cuttings, that's partially what this meeting is about. ...Do you know something about agriculture, then? That could be useful."

James starts to look over the plants and the set up before him. "Looks like we have what we need to make a survivable situation, but it will take a lot of work from several people."

Stumbling in the short bloke rubbed his eyes. He'd heard something over the intercom but he wasn't sure what. He noticed James had already left-- so it must have been semi-important. Rubbing his eye again he stared blearily for a moment. " Great a congregation." Eye's rolled as he'd left his coat behind but that gray scarf was still wrapped tightly around his neck. " Bloody hell, whats going on?" He glanced to James then to the kid with the... cape.

"I have, as I said, some scientific knowledge, however I am of course clearly not a farmer. On the other hand, yes, I would say I could be useful in managing the plants and animals present here."
He allows himself to get a touch of his own back from the men of the future by saying "It appears that the natural and botanical sciences, at least, have not changed so much as to render my education useless. However, messieurs, I have one quibble. Should we not devote our energies and attention to returning home rather than making a new home here in this unfortunate place?"
He half bows as he makes this suggestion, cordially opening the floor to response.

James wants to wait to see what the commandos have to say. He agreed that ways were going have to be looked at to leave, but he hadn't had time to look at the main computer himself to ask the same questions they must have asked. It was going to be double the work when they could be sharing.

He stays aside from the war lords from hell.

"I agree that we shouldn't give up on trying to find our way home, but I think it would be dangerous not to make contingency plans." He glanced around at the assembled group... they were missing a few people, but Tex and Carter knew as much about the place as he did, so he figured he could get started ( ... )

James wondered why the two were such arseholes to say that much. He glanced over at them then back to the caped teenager.

He agreed with trying to find a way home and having to keep a back up plan.

"A person who is a machine? How strange. But, I suppose, such things must be possible in a world where we fly in a ship through space."

Thinking out loud, the Count twists the large ruby ring on his left hand, a silly habit when cogitating deeply.
"Hm... I also noticed some, large containers? Could there also be fish? I have always been a great sailor, and have dined frequently on the fruits of the sea."

Robin nodded to Hammond. "Good, farming experience would be useful in this situation. And I agree, sooner's better than later... as it was, the pigs and chickens were pretty hungry when I came down here. I've fed and watered them and all that, but we're going to have to make sure we give them daily attention. And we'd better start planting now if we want the crops to start producing before we run out of food... plants need time to grow."

Robin turned to the Count. "I didn't see any fish... there is a big saltwater tank next door, and this storage room's got containers with starters for giant kelp, periwinkle snails, and prawns."

All this talk of food was making him hungry, a distinctly uncomfortable situation for someone who wasn't able to eat anything.

"I looked through the library earlier, too. There's a bunch of books in there that might be useful. Stuff on hydroponics and all that. 'Cause, I mean, I know how to plant something in the ground and water it, but this setup's a little different. We're gonna have to figure out how it all works." Or, well, they would, if they wanted to eat. But he wasn't about to go tell them all he was dead. Somehow, he didn't think that would go over well.
