England, horrified, throws himself without a thought in the water to save his pet. However... there is a problem. In his haste, he completely forgot he did not know how to swim himself. He reaches his poor kitten

Maria was passing by as she saw them. Jumping in would be dangerous in this season so she grabbed the longest branch she could find and held it out towards him. Hopefully he would grab it.

[He notices the branch held toward them. Ah, salvation! He reaches out for it, grabbing it while he tries to steady the kitten.]

[If he was not currently drowning, England would have rolled his eyes and snorted at this. But as it is... he is more glad to see somebody at his rescue.]

I'm coming! [He swims over to you like a pro, loops an arm around your chest, and heads back to shore.]

[He coughs awhile when he finally reaches the ground, and checks on his kitten once his coughing fit is passed. Hm... no injury. But it is shivering so England embraces him close his chest in an attempt to warn it. He then turns to look at their rescuer.]

You... you have my thanks for saving us.

[ Logically, RonRon knows jumping in water in winter is a bad idea...but she's dealt with worse and it's not like she has time to deliberate. Setting Lil Cottonball on the ground safely away from the water, she quickly shrugs off her coat and dives in. ]

[He struggles for a moment, trying to swim but it just looks like he is flailing in the water instead.]

[ Thankfully for them, she's a good swimmer and doesn't take long until she's beside him. ]

Here, hang onta my shoulders.

[ She has her back towards him, though is still looking over her shoulder to make sure he heard and using one hand to tug him closer. ]

[Ebgland reaches for her and hangs her shoulder successfully. With a hand, he grabs his kitten and hugs it close to make sure he will not lose it.]

[He didn't find anybody, but he found a long stick pole! He holds it out over the water, close enough for England to grab hold of it.]
