"-- and it shouldn't be that much further, now."

Veronica has been explaining the tracker's functionality to Zuko for god knows how long, which could be about as long as they've been walking. When the signal stopped moving, at least, they knew where they were going.

And since it stopped moving, Veronica'd been swallowing the fear that it's possible Backup wasn't okay.

Stay strong, Mars. He may be the only family you've got left, but -- strong, damnit.

"... Whoah."

If this place had anything resembling a wilderness, or an urban environment he was famliar with -- IE, one not this advanced -- Zuko could have tracked the dog without trouble.

As it was, he was nodding his head and listening to the instruction and--

-- what the hell is that?

"Is that a palace?" he asks, and the question is a serious one. "It's huge. Biggest building that doesn't go straight up I've seen so far."

"... it's a shopping mall."

There's a beat, and Veronica groans slightly. "The gods are evidently listening to me -- I was talking to Mel about how I saw a movie like this, once, and they all ended up staying in the last place not ravaged by zombies -- a mall. Since it has old stuff in it."

"Wonder if it still does. C'mon."
