Slade has been keeping a low profile since he knows that several of the residents--including their fearless leader--are suspicious of his motives. However, he still knows precious little about the denizens of the compound, so he has crawled out of his dark corner and is now wandering through the courtyard

There's a small child watching him from not too far away. She's 13, but certainly looks younger with her thick-rimmed glasses and messy pigtails.

Suspicious and apprehensive would be the two best words to describe the way she's feeling right now.

Meg doesn't talk much.

And then it's back to staring!

Slade just shakes his head slightly and begins to walk by the girl. Unless she has some super-secret powers, he doesn't have time for this. Even if he is wandering aimlessly. But still!

Still staring! If Slade's one of those guys who can feel it when people stare at them, he'll definitely be feeling it right about...

... now.

He does feel it! And as much as he wants to drop a smoke bomb or something, it'd be a shame to waste one. Especially in a place where he can't easily make more.

He just keeps walking and plans on disappearing into the shadows next time he sees some.
